Life Happenings & Tummy Grumblings

Is it seriously April already? This month is starting out awesomely, as we are HOME in Tennessee. It's been in the high 50s and it feels like summer! I think I'm finally caught up on sleep from the drive down. We left last Thursday night at 5pm and got here on Friday at 7am. I drove all but two hours of the drive.

We got Wendy's for dinner Thursday night - Cami picked apple slices instead of French fries,
which kind of blew my mind.

We take I-81S pretty much the whole way down until we get to I-40.
Seeing Knoxville on the GPS and the interstates signs makes me such a happy camper.

NO SNOW!! No jackets!! :)

My mom-in-law got 6 baby chicks for laying eggs. Cami LOVES them. She has to pick them up each morning and tell the good morning..every single last one. She's also an expert at them now, so she'll let anyone else know exactly how they need to hold them and to wash their hands, etc. It's so funny!

Wouldn't be home without some Tut shenanigans. We didn't bring our kitties, so Tut is being spoiled.

Last time we were in town, I mentioned wanting to check out this place Dead End BBQ.
Zack (bro-in-law) and Casey (his wifie) told us that it was incredible and we kept meaning to do a double date, but never did. Well, we FINALLY got around to it. So the four of us headed out on Saturday afternoon, hung out at the mall, and then went to lunch.

They have all this amazing food there. I got a raspberry hard cider and the Brick Top Chicken - which had their dry rub on it, was grilled, topped with pepperjack cheese, tomato, lettuce, and chipotle mayo all on toasted sourdough. NOM NOM NOM. We're definitely going to make that a regular place when we come into town.

And now for some more's last week on Fantastical:
