June Photo-a-Day: my month in pictures

I didn't do so hot keeping up with taking pictures this month. Life has been crazy busy. We've been trying to organize the house (finally) and Nick has been interviewing for a new job. We have our fingers crossed that he gets the one job he interviewed for last week because it would have the same atmosphere as his current job (they are awesome, but are very small as a company and are having to lay off people) and hours similar to what he has now, but at a significant pay raise! Mason has hit an age where I'm constantly holding him or playing with him and he takes 30 to 45 min naps off and on all day. I take advantage of naptime to pump or clean quickly. But he's at a very enjoyable age, so I can't complain too much.

June 1: Sleeping with me in bed - he only did this for a few more weeks and now he's in his crib fulltime :( // June 2: At the doctor's office, showing off his stinkface // June 3: Always so happy in the morning.
June 4: Tummy time - found out he can hold his head up // June 5: Seriously, mom? More tummy time? // June 6: Nick had drill and I had to have both hands to fix dinner. I set Mason up with Matt & Cami and they watched Spongebob together. You gotta do what you gotta do!

My June TBR List & Upcoming Releases

I have been putting this post off further and further, basically because I kept forgetting to grab my new releases document and grab the book images from Goodreads. Well, I finally did it today, so now I can post this baby! And I'm also prepping next month's so it can be posted on the first like it's supposed to be done. I've not read as much as I really have wanted to lately. Nighttime is typically when I read the most and lately, with Mason, I just want to sleep when I crawl into bed, understandably. Now that he's a bit older and is allowing me a little more free time, I'm reading a teensy bit more. I'm working on It and Dorothy Must Die, at the moment.

Possible June Reads:
  • It by Stephen King
  • Wicked by Gregory Maguire [reread]
  • The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson [new series]
  • Everblue by Brenda Pandos [new series]
  • The Program by Susanne Young [new series]
  • Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige [new series]

Books I Read in April & May

I have definitely slacked in reading in April and May. Instead of a book a week, I did a book each two weeks :( I'm bound and determined to read more in June. I'm currently reading Bloodlines by Richelle Mead and Captive by Aimee Carter - both of which are great so far!

Baby Mason: Three Months

Mason turned 3 months on the 24th of May. I had this post ready to go for the 26th when he had his doctor appointment. Then I did this thing where I completely forgot about it and missed it :S  Cami had been up throwing up all night, plus Mason woke up 2 or 3 times instead of just once. I was exhausted to say the least. I took the morning nap with Mason and slept right through his appointment and then realized it 2 hours later. We went to his appointment yesterday - so I finally got this typed up and ready to post :)

He was much harder to get a good picture of this month because he was wiggling SO much. As evidenced by the picture below where he was just shaking those arms and legs!

May Photo-a-Day: my month in pictures

May was a hellaciously busy month. The kids had tons of school events. Nick built a bunch of things. The kids got sick and passed it back and forth for 2 weeks. School ended. Mason got so much bigger and personable. I got a new car! SO busy!

Day 1: I can't believe how big Cami has gotten. She's kind of a little diva - full of attitude ;) // Day 2: We spent the weekend working on Cami's first grade scrapbook project for school. She has a newfound love of washi tape! // Day 3: Tried the s'mores frappuccino - not a huge fan. It's really sweet. // Day 4: This little butt has got the best facial expressions haha
