This year I have finally caught up on some of the bigger YA authors and books. I've read over 130 books and a lot of them are new-to-me authors. The following are definitely my top ten favorite new-to-me authors of 2013:

Laini Taylor, definitely. I just got Under the Never Sky, so I'm looking forward to delving into that series. :)

I still need to get around to reading Laini Taylor's books, which I'm definitely going to do next year. JLA, Richelle Mead & Katie McGarry are three of my favourite discoveries this year.

I never wanted to read Shatter Me but then I read excerpts on tumblr and the writing was beautiful, I immediately added the book on my wishlist. I've been wanting to read The Demon Kick, I'm on a YA fantasy kick at the moment and I've recently purchased The Vampire Academy. Hopefully, I'll love it as much as other people.
LOVED the Across the Universe series. Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy) is one of my favorite authors. Thankfully the series is longer- 6 books? 7? Plus I just read book 4 of her spin off series and LOVE that one as well. The Lightening Thief is awesome too! I still need to read that Daughter of Smoke and Bone book...
