December 2025 Book Haul

 In December, I hauled 12 books and spent $0 and saved $199.27 hauling from my local library. My only "purchased" book was free on Kindle. I have read 11 of the 12 books leaving 1 left to read. I am ending 2025 with 22 books unread out of all the 130 hauled books and a 83% ration of read to unread, which is the same as last year!

In November, I hauled 11 books and spent $0 and saved $70.49 hauling from my local library. I actually got all of my Kindle books for free - some were actually free, the others were purchased with a gift card. I have read 4 of the 11 hauled. I'm now sitting at an 80% ratio of read to unread hauled books with 21 books left to read.

In October, I hauled 5 books and spent $0 and saved $51.36 hauling from my local library. I read 1 of 5 at the end of October and have since read an additional book. My ratio of read to unread is slightly lower at 83%. I have 22 books hauled this year left to read. Probably not going to read a big chunk of those in the next two months but we will see ;)

September 2025 Book Haul

In September, I hauled 6 books and spent $45.86 on my quarterly Owlcrate subscription. I have saved $91.09 on the remainder of the books I hauled because they were from my local library. I have read 4 of the 6 hauled books and my ratio of read to unread has dropped to 84% (only 1% change from last month). Overall, I have 15 books that I have hauled in 2025 left to read, which is incredible for me. I'm not reading as quickly through my books as I did in the beginning of the year with marching band happening, but I'm also hauling fewer books that I normally do too, so it is balancing out!

August 2025 Book Haul

In August, I hauled 3 books, which is what happens on a month where I'm basically not reading at all. I spent $8.71 on my monthly Audible subscription (which I've now paused) and saved $58.27 by using my local library. I have read all 3 book hauled in August and my ratio has improved to 85%.

June 2025 Book Haul

In June, I hauled 6 books - the fewest of the year so far. I spent $8.71 on my Audible sub and that's it. I saved $89.90 by using my local library. At the end of June, I have read 4 of the 6 books I hauled. My ratio of read to hauled has increased up to 82%, so I'm almost back to what I was before. I continue to try and haul only what I'm reading actively, but it's so hard to past up on free books not at the library!

May 2025 Book Haul

May was low for finishing books but it was also lower for hauling books. I hauled a total of 8 books. I spent $25.95 (a preorder + Audible sub) and saved $89.50 by using my local library. At the end of May, I have read 2 of the books and have 6 more to go! Because I didn't read as many books, my ratio of read to hauled has lowered from 84% down to 78%.

Can't believe it's already May. In April, I hauled 9 books and read 5, DNF'd 1. 3 are unread for a now yearly total of 12 books. I'm back up to 84% read so an increase from March.

March went by way too quickly for my liking and it was not a super strong reading month for me. I hauled 14 books and have read 9 of them and 5 are unread, bringing my yearly unread total up to 9 books. I'm at 82% read which is a bit of a decrease from last month.

Time to wrap up my February book haul already. January is always so long and February is always gone in the blink of an eye. In February, I hauled 19 books. I have read all of the library books and 3 remain unread. My read percentage for the year so far is 89%, up one percent from last month.

January 2025 Book Haul

It's my first haul of 2025 and my hope was to not haul so many books, but then the library happened. To be the most fair, I have read almost all of them. Of the 17 books hauled in January, 2 remain unread - meaning my read percentage is 88%. That's pretty awesome. 

In January, I spent $36 total (including Audible subscription) and saved $275.04 by using my local library.

Okay for July, I hauled less than I did in June, so we're doing better here. I didn't spend anything in June as most of these are library books. Out of the 16 that I have hauled, I have read 15 of them. I improved my total read of hauled books ratio back up to 84% this month. I have 18 books I've hauled this year that remain unread. Again hoping to knock that number down. :)

June 2024 Book Haul

Well, here we are and in June, I hauled 25 books. I once again, didn't spend anything on any of my hauls. There was a Stuff Your Kindle Day and I got a bunch of things. At the end of June, I've read 13 of my hauled books. A majority of those are ones that I borrowed from the library. I think I'm going to have to throw some hauled books on my future TBRs and try and knock them out. I'm down from 85% read to 78% read, so I definitely would like to get that number higher!

May 2024 Book Haul

I didn't really have any chill with hauling books in May either, but I also read a majority and didn't spend any money. All the audiobooks were free (no credits used on Audible or borrowed at the library) and all the Kindle books were free. I saved $187.53 by borrowing books at the library (no clue on the purchased books because I don't track that when they are free). My total for the year is now $649.25 saved, $1.99 spent.

Out of the 22 books hauled in May, I have read 19 of them. I am now up to 85% of hauled books read (improved from 78% last month). I only have 10 hauled books this year left to read.

April 2024 Book Haul

April Book Haul went crazy. Whoops! I hauled 22 books in the month and spent $0. All of the purchased books were included with my Audible membership (didn't spend any credits) or in the case of the Kindle book, it was free on Amazon when I got it. I saved $192.62 from borrowing books at the library. My total for the year is now $461.72.

Out of the 22 books I hauled in April, I have read 18 of them. I'm currently reading 2 of the remaining 4. Up to 78% of hauled books read this year now, which is an improvement from last month.
