My Most Anticipated Releases for November

Most Anticipated Releases | Stop by and see what new books I'm most excited for this month

My anticipated releases are diminishing with time, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing :) This month, I have two sequels I'm really excited for and I already have a copy of River Bodies and Little White Lies. I also have read an excerpt of Mammoth and really enjoyed it.

RIP Readathon [TBR]

I'm going a little easy because it's fall break and I have a busy week ahead of me. I chose to read one book that is already on my October TBR and it will count for two challenges. I also chose a book I'm nearly halfway through for Creature Feature and going with a middle grade for Cozy Read.

  1. Book with Black on the Cover: Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa
  2. Book with Keyword in Title: Dark, Shadow, Moon, Spell: Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa
  3. Cozy Read: Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend
  4. Creature Feature: ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas
  5. Group Read: A Discovery of Witches - but I have read it already and don't feel like rereading :) So I'm sitting that one out.
Updated on 10/16: As expected, the week was busy and I didn't read a ton. I got 8% through Shadow of the Fox and I also finished the last 2/3 of Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House on audiobook from my library (it wasn't on my list but that can count for Creature Feature, right?! lol)
Total books finished: 0
Total pages read: 33

September Book Haul

Book Haul | Check out the books I hauled this month #bookhaul

So before I get started, I must update on my unhaul challenge. If you missed it, here is the initial post. I had 6 books to read, 3 physical, 3 ebooks. I read 2 of the physical books and I'm currently reading 1 of the ebooks. I can buy no new ebooks and I have to release Carve the Mark into the wild since I didn't read it. So in October, I cannot buy any Kindle books (I'm going to get my free one from Kindle First, but otherwise, no buying unless I read one).

I have 11 books for September, most of which were free, except for my sub box books and Crazy Rich Asians, which I just had to have because the library book was due and I couldn't renew it.

October Monthly TBR & Challenge Updates

Monthly TBR and Challenge Update | The post where I share what I plan to read and how badly I'm doing on my yearly reading challenges :)

I am trying to keep my October TBR to a short list so that I don't end up psyching myself out and not reading any of those books that I should read in a month.

My Tentative TBR for October:
  • Mirage by Somaiya Daud [Owlcrate]
  • Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa [Netgalley]
  • Final Girls by Riley Sager [#AYearathon]
  • True Fiction by Lee Goldberg [#AYearathon]
  • It Ends With Her by Briana Labuskas [#AYearathon]

#AYearAThon [October TBR]

Each first full week of the month, a #AYearAThon readathon is held and there are themes and challenges for each month. In the month of October, the theme is THRILLERS with the challenge of reading books with 400+ pages. It runs from October 1 to 7.

Updated on 10/16: I knew I wouldn't read a lot, so I'm happy with what progress I made with Final Girls. I ended up getting 20% through it.
