Bout of Books 26 [Days 5-7 Progress + Finish Line]

To sign up for Bout of Books, go here. It's a low pressure readathon and I love participating. I'm an expert once again, so I will be encouraging as many readers as I can :) To see my TBR and goals for BOB, see my TBR and Goals post.

READING UPDATE: 9AM Today is going to be a little on the busy side with a plant swap, maybe GermanFest, and studying thrown in. Plus we're in Phase 2 of the Marvel Universe, so our movie for tonight is Iron Man 3. I'm hoping to get 40 pages read of one of my ebooks and then I should be able to listen to at least a half hour of my audiobook.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I met all my goals this readathon and I even was able to finish a book, which is awesome! I cannot wait until January when we get BOB 27. :)

Bout of Books 26 [Days 1-4 Progress]

To sign up for Bout of Books, go here. It's a low pressure readathon and I love participating. I'm an expert once again, so I will be encouraging as many readers as I can :) To see my TBR and goals for BOB, see my TBR and Goals post.

[DAY 1 PROGRESS]
Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout - started at pg. 86, ended at 102 (16 pages)

DAILY TOTAL:  41 pages // 0 books finished
READATHON TOTAL:  41 pages // 0 books finished

READING UPDATE: 8AM BOB 26 stuck up on me. I probably won't start reading until later on today. I am reading a physical book, audio book, and an ebook. Usually I read the most of the physical book and audio is my book on Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sun. The ebook is what I read until I fall asleep, which usually means 1 page per day LOL. I will be running sprints today at 8pm ET on my Twitter that will lead into the first BOB chat :)
------------------------------------------
[DAY 2 PROGRESS]
Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout - started at pg. 102, ended at 150 (48 pages)
Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor - started at 11%, ended at 18% (1 hr 16 min)

DAILY TOTAL:  48 pages +  1 hr  16 min //  0 books finished
READATHON TOTAL:  89 pages +  1 hr  16 min //  0 books finished

READING UPDATE: 8AM I joined in on the chat last night and it was super fun as always. Today my goal is to visit some blogs/Twitters/instas and say hello. And, of course, read a little. I should be able to read a little from each book.
------------------------------------------
[DAY 3 PROGRESS]
Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout - started at pg. 150, ended at 192 (42 pages)

DAILY TOTAL:  42 pages //  0 books finished
READATHON TOTAL:  131 pages + 1 hr 16 min //  0 books finished
------------------------------------------
[DAY 4 PROGRESS]
Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout - started at pg. 192, ended at 280 (x pages)

DAILY TOTAL:  88 pages // 0 books finished
READATHON TOTAL:  219 pages +  1 hr  16 min // 0 books finished

READING UPDATE: 8AM I have been steadily doing 40 pages a day, so I guess that is my goal. I'm going to be listening to lectures all day today in preparation for my final exam tonight. If I pass, I may have a little extra time this weekend to read if I don't hit my next class at a dead run. :) Loving Origin so much. It's cheesy at times, but still good.

Bout of Books 26 [Goals + TBR]

It's time for BOB readathon once again. I am participating for the 23rd time! Bout of Books 26 runs Aug 19 to 25 and is hosted by Amanda and Kelly. I am going to try and update on Twitter and Goodreads. My goal (again) is to just read. I've been neglecting my books this month because I have started a new term of college and I'm hitting those books pretty hard instead.

[GOALS]
**Read a little every day
**Participate in one Twitter chat
**Be a cheerleader!

[TENTATIVE TBR]
(Finish my current reads first)
**Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout
**Dreams of Gods & Monsters by Laini Taylor
**The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Interested? Sign up here!

I'm also an Expert again and will be trying to visit tons of blogs and tweets to encourage my fellow BOB-ers - as well as run some sprints on Twitter! First set run by me will be for sure at 8pm ET tonight right before the first chat!

July Book Haul

Jul Book Haul | Check out the books I hauled this month #bookhaul

I hauled a lot of books this month however, I once again borrowed more than I purchased and read a lot of them. I only have the two books I purchased and one library book left to read. That's pretty awesome in my book. I just have to get that same momentum for my past hauled books because they definitely have piled up and instead of going on a haul ban so I can read the old books I have, I just keep hauling and reading new books. Oops.

August Monthly TBR & Challenge Updates

Aug Monthly TBR and Challenge Update | The post where I share what I plan to read and how badly I'm doing on my yearly reading challenges :)

I had a very successful reading month in July - the best of the year so far. I read 10 books and DNF'd 1 book (my first DNF of the year). I don't think it will continue, only because I have a new term of college starting and I am going to have a fire lit under my tush to get it done in the next 6 months. So no slacking and probably less reading.

I'm going a different route for August and I'm going to attempt to read a lot of my backlisted Jennifer L. Armentrout books and therefore am dubbing it Armentrout August. Below I have listed my options. All of these are books I own. At the top of my list is the two books left in the Lux series I want to finish and The Darkest Star, which I have to review for Netgalley. The rest are in publication order because I believe there are a few that may be spin offs, but I will cross that bridge when I get there. The reason I decided to go with Armentrout is because I have always found her books very easy to digest and I think that will be perfect for the month where I'm hoping to also finish at least 2 if not 3 classes.

My List of Options for August:
  • Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • The Darkest Star by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Wait for You by J. Lynn
  • Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Frigid by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Wicked by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • The Return by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • The Problem with Forever by Jennifer L. Armentrout
  • Till Death by Jennifer L. Armentrout
