My SVT Story [5 Years Post-Ablation]

For previous posts, click the label "SVT" at the end of this post or at the bottom of my blog.

I haven't checked in about my SVT in 3 years. I'm now at my 5 year anniversary of my ablation. Safe to say, it has been effective :)

In my last update, I was talking about exercising and finding that still a little stressful because of elevated heart rate during exercise. However, I do not have that issue now. For a little while, I was having issues playing video games and having my heart race when it got intense, but that has gotten better too (by racing - it'd be like 105-110 max).

I can't see a reason to really update again in the future, but just wanted to put it out there that if you're on the fence about an ablation, if you're scared, etc., please consider it for your well-being and mental health. I was terrified of it. I put it off as an option until I absolutely had to. Don't let SVT get in the way of you living your best life! If you're stumbling upon this at any point in time and want to reach out to ask me questions, I'm available!

January 2023 Book Haul

Hello and howdy, it's time for my first book haul of the year. Last year, I actually did really well with a 70% rate of reading my hauled books. I'd definitely love to get that number higher, if I can. I hauled quite a few review books this month and I'm hoping that doesn't shoot me in the foot. Overall, I'd definitely love to haul under 8 books each month because that's what I tend to read on average per month. We'll see how it goes :) An awesome part about this haul in particular is that I did not spend any money on these books. They were all free to me!

February 2023 TBR + Challenge Updates

January felt like the longest month ever - Nick was gone for pretty much all of it and for some reason, the kids had all kinds of stuff and we also had lots of dr appointments and we also had the carpet taken off our stairs. We thought it was going to be a day job and then it turned into a 3 day job which honestly makes way more sense. But then it needed an extra day so it was actually 4 days. Oof. I did actually read quite a bit. I finished 8 books - 2 were on my TBR and I'm currently reading the other 2. I think the 4 book TBR is going to be very successful for me.

I'm slightly behind on all my challenges but with my current reads, I will be caught back up, so I'm not overly concerned about it at this point.

And as always, I will be participating in the Words & Whimsy Reading Challenge. You sign up and are split into teams and finish books for points. They also have a mini game, photo challenge, and charity challenge to get points for your team as well. They have author chats throughout the month and it's a really fun, inclusive space for bookworms to connect with other bookworms!

My TBR for February:

  • Legend by Marie Lu
  • One, Two, Three by Elodie Nowdazkij (Netgalley)
  • The Witch Haven by Sasha Peyton Smith (Series)
  • Lizzie Blake's Best Mistake by Mazey Eddings (Netgalley, Series)

2023 READING CHALLENGES: should be at 9%
Goodreads Challenge: 8/100 books - 8% BEHIND!
Series Challenge: 1/20 series - 5% BEHIND!
Netgalley Challenge: 1/20 books - 5% BEHIND!

What are you planning on reading in February?
