My Most Anticipated Releases for October

Most Anticipated Releases | Stop by and see what new books I'm most excited for this month

I started out getting this post ready with only four or five books and then boom, hello tons of books I want to read. This is how TBRs get out of control!

Top Ten Books by My Favorite Authors that I Still Haven't Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. More information here.

So it was kind of hard for me to find books from favorite authors because I was like...wait what do I consider a favorite author. Someone who I have read more than one of their books? A debut book that was amazing and I meant to read more of their books? Ugh.

Top Ten Books on my Fall TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. More information here.

I'm doing horribly with my seasonal TBRs...honestly, just horribly. From my summer TBR, I have read 4 of the 10. I am currently reading 2 of the remaining 6. I recently wrote down all my books that made my different TBRs so far in 2018 (and my winter 2017/2018 TBR), so this is going to build straight on that.

Book Unhaul Challenge: September 2018

Book Unhaul Challenge | Where I Rush to Read Books I Hauled or Else They Get the Boot #unhaulchallenge

This idea isn't new and, in fact, if you watch Booktube, you probably have seen many booktubers do this, including Kayla from BooksandLala. Now that I have been sharing hauls for a year, it's time to crack down on hauls and READ THE BOOKS I GET. I've been working all year long to read as many books as I can, focusing as much as possible on the books I borrow or buy. So let's get this shindig started!

I haul a lot of Kindle books so it's harder for me to "unhaul" them truly. So my rule for ebooks will be that I am not allowed to buy any new ones until I read ones I already have. A one-for-one type rule, if you will. I am allowed to buy ONE ebook when I finish ONE ebook. For physical books, if I don't read them, I am going to release them into the wild (aka my local used bookstore or high school).

Simple enough, right?

This post is for my September Book Haul. Starting off with a bang - 17 books: 7 physical, 10 ebooks. I have unhauled and read some of these, so I am left with 6 total: 3 physical, 3 ebooks.
  1. Pines (ebook)
  2. The Fire Sermon (ebook)
  3. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Illustrated Edition)
  4. Carve the Mark
  5. Before She Ignites
  6. The Female of the Species (ebook)
I realize I'm posting this midmonth, but I will check back in with my haul post to update my progress on these 6 books! Wish me luck!

Top Ten Hidden [Book] Gems

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. More information here.

This was a little harder than I thought it would be because I tend to read hyped books but like really late, so I don't usually have books on my read list that not a lot of other people haven't read. But here are my favorite hidden gems.

August Book Haul

Check out the books I hauled for the month of August!

It's almost time for me to start my unhaul challenge and so I'm keeping with my format of separating physical books, ebooks, and library books. I have read 2 of the books I hauled here (Leah and Soul Surfer). Trying to keep my haul numbers low until I read some of the stuff I have in my possession!

Books I Read in August

I have a brand new banner for some of my regular posts. Hope it'll look better on my blog :) In August, I read 7 books. I'm pleasantly surprised because I also finished an entire term (6 months) in the month. 4 classes in August! So 7 books is a miracle :)

Top Ten Bingeworthy TV Shows

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. More information here.

I love this topic because I know I will find new shows to add to my Netflix/Hulu queue. I honestly have been binging so many tv shows lately because I don't watch them as they air (next day on Hulu) or get released (on Netflix - looking at you, OITNB).

September Monthly TBR & Challenge Updates

September is going to be my month to concentrate on books that I have started or put on TBRs in the past 8 months and I would like to make a dent in them. I'm trying to make time for everything and really be mindful of how I'm spending my time. BALANCE. Super super important. I'm also starting an unhaul challenge, like how Books and Lala did her closet unhaul, but with different rules. So I'm not only trying to finish books that I've picked up or were on TBRs, but also books that I hauled in that particular month a year ago. I've also been slacking on Netgalley and Owlcrate reads.

My Tentative TBR for September:
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling (started, was on my Summer TBR, May TBR, and a readathon TBR; hauled in Sept 2017)
  • Before She Ignites by Jodi Meadows (started, was on my Summer TBR, and is an Owlcrate book; hauled in Sept 2017)
  • Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth (was on my Winter TBR; hauled in Sept 2017)
  • Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart (my current Owlcrate book)
