Hush, Hush [Review]
Stats:
#1 in series
400 Pages {Kindle}
Published 13 October 2009
Synopsis:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her...until Patch comes along.
With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment, but after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is far more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.
My Thoughts:
Where to start with this one? Patch is amazing. Straight up - one of my favorite "love interests" of all of the books I've ever read. I wasn't entirely sure what the premise was because I hadn't read the synopsis in a long time, so I kind of went in a little naive and ignorant. The book was written entirely too perfect. It just blew my mind. Fitzpatrick's style is dead on for being able to imagine everything that is happening. I haven't yet read a book with angels in it. I have always been huge on vampires and lycanthropes, etc., so this was a new "creature" for me. I'm digging it! Can't wait to read the next book!
I'm curious as to how people felt about Nora, she reminded me a lot of Bella from Twilight. I wonder if people ragged on Fitzpatrick for creating a weak female who would sacrifice herself for her boy toy? It doesn't bother me. I feel like I connect really well with "weak" females. Girls that fall deep in love. *shrugs*

OK you have me interested now - I may have to add this one to the wish list! :D
Hmm...I'm interested now!
I keep seeing this one around, although I still don't really know what it's about. It's definitely one that I want to know more about though.
