May 2021 TBR & Challenge Update

In 2021, I'm participating in Words & Whimsy Reading Challenge (new challenge each month - May is  Folk of the Air theme) and The Avengers Initiative Reading Challenge (a year long challenge). 

I killed it in April. I once again stuck to my TBR and read all of the books on it and I also read 5 that weren't on my TBR. I had a total of 3523 pages and 70 hr 22 min for finished books. My wrap up goes live on Monday morning. I am ahead in ALL of my yearly challenges that I set for myself. I also completed all the books on my seasonal TBRs. I had years of seasonal TBRs - SO MANY. And I finally am ready to start actually making actual new seasonal TBRs.

I was nervous last month about too many physical books on the list, but I did it. This month for Words and Whimsy, there are 8 criteria prompts. My plan is to read 114 pages per day to read them all. Last month, I averaged 190 pages per day, so I'm confident this month will go well. I will also say that the Words and Whimsy challenge has unlimited 5 points for any book by an author of Asian descent for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month - I have a ton of books by authors of Asian descent that I can read so if I finish my 9 books, I am going to try and tackle as many as I can to support these authors!

Bout of Books 31 begins May 10th

It's almost time for the Bout of Books readathon. 

The Bout of Books readathon is organized and hosted by Amanda and Kelly. It’s a week long readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 10th and runs through Sunday, May 16th in YOUR time zone. Bout of Books is low-pressure. March 2021 Book Haul

This month I hauled 12 books which is one less than last month. However, I have only read 3 of these books. I did, however, read 5 books from last month's haul this month. I only have plans to read 2 of these books in this haul. I don't anticipate hauling too much in April but I've read almost 60% of the books I've hauled so far this year and that is really exciting!

April 2021 TBR & Challenge Update

My 2021 Series Tracker

In 2021, I'm participating in Words & Whimsy Reading Challenge (new challenge each month - April is Shadow & Bone theme) and The Avengers Initiative Reading Challenge (a year long challenge). 

March was a really good month for my reading. I stuck to my TBR and read all 10 books plus 1 extra totaling 2385 pages and 92 hr 41 min. My wrap up goes live on Monday so you can see what I read :) I am still ahead on Goodreads challenge, Series challenge, and Netgalley challenge. I should be able to catch up on my Owlcrate challenge this month if I read both books.

In April for Words and Whimsy, there are 8 criteria prompts instead of 10 but I have 10 planned, if I can. I have a lot of physical books this month and that may bite me in the butt. But it will be more books off of my seasonal TBRs and knock out some of my goals :) My plan is to read 134 page per day to read them all. Last month, I averaged 179 pages per day, so I think that I can do that for sure.
