Series 2023 Tracker

Happy New Year!

Last year, I tackled a lot of series but towards the end of the year, I tried to be a little more conscience to not start new series - especially those that are unfinished. My goal was to get my series under 40 and I was so very close. I'm starting 2023 in the middle of 41 series.

I definitely would like to try and get that number closer to 25 by the end of the year. Of the series on my list, 20 are actually completed as of the end of 2022. There are 4 series that have 1 book remaining and another 3 that have the last book that will release within 2023. My official goal for the year is to finish 20 series.

Oh it's that dreadful time of year where I see that I haven't read anything off my seasonal TBR before the new one is due to be posted. I only get to add 2 books to my seasonal TBR because my brain won't allow me to scrap the whole thing and just post 10 new books. In 2023, I plan to have shorter TBRs and allow myself to mood read which will probably consist of choosing books I meant to read on past TBRs but not feel I have to read specific ones :) We will see how that goes.

10. Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail by Ashley Herring Blake - I hauled this in July thanks to Netgalley. It's the sequel to Delilah Green Doesn't Care and I know I will love it, so I'd really love to read it. I wanted to read it before it released in November but I didn't get around to it.

November 2022 Book Haul

I hauled 2 books in November. I feel like November came and went so quickly that I just didn't have time to haul things. I did better about sticking to my TBR as well, so I think I hauled less because of that. I have read The Kiss Curse and I now have read 70 of the 100 books I've hauled in 2022. Leaving total unread count at 30. I still would like to get it down to 25 by the end of the month. However, I only have 1 of the books on my December TBR, so it's unlikely that will happen. I'm still really happy with having read 70% of what I hauled in the year. What an accomplishment!

December 2022 TBR & Monthly Challenges

My favorite blurb, as always: In 2022, I'm continuing to participate in the Words & Whimsy Reading Challenge (new challenge each month - December is "Christmas Vacation" theme). You sign up and are split into teams and finish books for points. They also have a mini game, photo challenge, and charity challenge to get points for your team as well.

November seemed to have chilled out a little bit which was great and I was able to read 8 books. 6 of those were on my TBR - huge win! I decided that I will definitely be making shorter TBRs in 2023 to allow myself to mood read a little and pick on the fly. This month I have a lot of Kindle reads and I hope now that it's cozy time that I will be able to really finish all of these. I have one physical book and I really would like to actually read it. I've struggled to read physical books for the past few years.
