September 2022 TBR & Monthly Challenge

My favorite blurb, as always: In 2022, I'm continuing to participate in the Words & Whimsy Reading Challenge (new challenge each month - September is "Rings of Power" theme). You sign up and are split into teams and finish books for points. They also have a mini game, photo challenge, and charity challenge to get points for your team as well.

So I still have a few books from my past few months' TBRs that I haven't read and I hope to keep them on the back burner for if I finish books in the upcoming months. However, I needed a fresh TBR and one that tackled some more of my goals for the year.

In August, I finished 10 books. I completed my Haul It challenge and I am one finished series away from completing my goal of 20 finished series (we'll ignore that if I complete my TBR, I will start 6 more series). September is set to be an insane month of work and kids' stuff, so I am giving myself a little grace here and hoping I can still finish 8 books, but won't kick myself if I don't!

My TBR for September:
  • Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames (Paperback - Purchased)
  • The Witch Haven by Sasha Peyton Smith (Hardcover - Purchased)
  • Empire of the Vampire (Audio - Borrowed)
  • One, Two, Three by Elodie Nowodazkij (Kindle - Netgalley)
  • She, Myself, and I by Emma Young (Kindle - Netgalley)
  • Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong (Ebook - Netgalley)
  • Partners in Crime by Alisha Rai (Ebook - Netgalley)
  • Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon (Kindle - Purchased)

2021 READING CHALLENGES: should be at 67%
Goodreads Challenge: 79/52 books - 151% COMPLETED 6/8
Series Challenge: 19/20 series - 95% AHEAD!
Netgalley Challenge: 16/13 books - 123% COMPLETED 6/8
Haul It Challenge: 30/30 books - 100% COMPLETED 8/23

July 2022 Book Haul

I only hauled 9 books this month and I read 6 of those. So that is definitely a huge win. At this point, I have now hauled 72 books and read 43 of them. So I have read 60% of the books I have hauled and that's awesome! I said last month that I would love to be under 20 left unread at the end of the year and I'm currently sitting at 29 unread, so hopefully I can continue to read these books and hit that goal!

August 2022 TBR & Monthly Challenges

My favorite blurb, as always: In 2022, I'm continuing to participate in the Words & Whimsy Reading Challenge (new challenge each month - August is "Camp Words & Whimsy" theme). You sign up and are split into teams and finish books for points. They also have a mini game, photo challenge, and charity challenge to get points for your team as well.

I knew July would be a little wild with a week vacation and then two weeks of band camp. The only week other than that was me catching up on work and training on a new client at the same time so it left me pretty mentally tired too. AND I ended up with a kidney stone starting to pass the last week. July was an adventure. Not necessarily one I would like to repeat, but an adventure none-the-less.

I finished 8 books and, instead of doing another new TBR, I'm going to pull the books I did not read in July to go into August and 2 Netgalley books I'd like to read before their publishing dates. We have a week of all the appointments and then school starts, so it's going to be another busy month and it won't really slow down until like April where we get a month to breathe before all the end of the month stuff haha.

My TBR for August:
  • For Butter or Worse by Erin La Rosa (Kindle - Netgalley)
  • Booked on a Feeling by Jayci Lee (Kindle - Netgalley)
  • Pucked Off by Helena Hunting (Kindle - Purchased)
  • Pucked Love by Helena Hunting (Kindle - Purchased)
  • Desperate Measures by Katee Roberts (Kindle - Purchased)
  • Lizzie Blake's Biggest Mistake by Mazey Eddings (Kindle - Netgalley)
  • The Make-Up Test by Jenny L. Howe (Kindle - Netgalley)

2021 READING CHALLENGES: should be at 58%
Goodreads Challenge: 69/52 books - 132% COMPLETED 6/8
Series Challenge: 17/20 series - 85% AHEAD!
Netgalley Challenge: 15/13 books - 115% COMPLETED 6/8
Haul It Challenge: 28/30 books - 93% AHEAD!
