Can I just go ahead and cry now?! My little Mason is so big now :( It's hard to get his monthly shots because he moves so much. He's closing in on crawling and that's about the age Matthew was...and if he's like his big brother (Cami did everything really early because Matthew was around for her to try and catch up to)...he'll be taking his first steps around 9 months. My poor heart can't take this. Why oh why is he growing so quickly?!
Ready to eat // He slept almost the entire time we were at the zoo, he's about to be moved from stroller to carseat in this pic
Stats: 18.1 lbs and 27.5 inches long - we finally got him to straighten his leg out!
Eating: For the last week, he has eaten more formula than breastmilk, due to an antibiotic I'm on causing me to have to pump and dump. Saturday, he can go back to mostly breastmilk. He's been taking 5 to 5.5 oz per feeding. He eats baby food two times a day most days. He has had sweet potatoes, green beans, apples, bananas, carrots, peaches, squash, pears, apricot, blueberries, mango, pumpkin, raspberry, and avocado. I've tried puffs, spaghetti, and a piece of strawberry, but he's not ready quite yet for that. He still gags when they sit on his tongue. His favorite foods so far are bananas, peaches, and the apple/mango/avocado baby food.
Sleeping: He wakes up at 10/11 and then around 2/3 and wakes up closer to 7am. His naps are way more normal now. 8am is his first nap. 11/11:30 is his next one. Then he usually has another before dinner. Sometimes two naps before 6, depending on how his earlier naps went.
Wearing: 9 months and size 3 diapers. Holding off on cloth diapers until his poop is more solid. After starting solid foods, it's very paste-y. TMI, sorry LOL
Personality: I feel like he gets more rotten as he gets older. He's still sweet, calm, and happy. He loves listening to people talk. He's a little slow to warm up to strangers right now - he is very observant. And he's beginning to become Mommy-clingy.
Milestones: *cries* The last month has been a whirlwind of new milestones. Mason started baby food. He is a master at scooting and is now incredibly close to crawling. He just needs to figure out how to keep going after he takes the "first step". He has two teeth on the bottom now. Mason can sit unassisted too. And finally, I am once again beat out as Mason said "Dada" first just like his older siblings.
Likes:
- Patting anything around him
- Chewing on his Muslin blankies
- Smacking/kicking the little lights 'n motion lullaby box on his crib.
- Blowing raspberries
- Bouncing
- That he can't figure out how to actually crawl
- If Mommy takes too long to fix a bottle or open a baby food container!
- Getting his onesies on
