Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2021

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. More information here.

  1. Lore by Alexandra Bracken: A mythology book that I don't even really know the actual plot for, but I love the cover and I actually have this from Netgalley and I'm pretty sure it's the Owlcrate book for January, so I hope to read it soon. Release date: January 5
  2. Concrete Rose by Angie Thomas: This is about Starr's dad before The Hate U Give and I'm looking forward to another insanely great read. Release date: January 12
  3. You Have a Match by Emma Lord: I also have an eARC of this from Netgalley and I started it (and read a whopping 1 page before getting distracted)...but I need to actually read it because I loved her 2020 debut, Tweet Cute. It was so dang good. I have such high hopes. This one is about a girl who finds out she has a sister when she does an ancestry DNA dealie. Release date: January 12
  4. Game Changer by Neal Shusterman: So I don't really care what the book is about if Shusterman wrote it. The synopsis says that it's about a boy getting knocked into another dimension, so that's sounds cool. Release date: February 4
  5. The Iron Raven by Julie Kagawa: A continuation of the Iron Fey with PUCK BEING THE MAIN CHARACTER. I loved the Iron Fey and I think that Kagawa's writing has gotten better and better, so I'm so excited to see how this will have evolved from the original. Release date: February 9
  6. Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert: This is the third book in the Brown Sisters trilogy and I've liked the first two, so I'm sure I'll like this one as well. Release date: March 9
  7. Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne: After loving The Hating Game so much and then being underwhelmed by 99 Percent Mine, I'm hopeful that this will be a great book. We'll see though. Release date: April 13
  8. The Kindred Spirits Supper Club by Amy E. Reichert: I don't know what to expect from this author, but I was immediately drawn to it because it takes place in the Wisconsin Dells and I have been there, so there you have it.  Release date: April 20
  9. People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry: I loved Beach Read and this story follows ex-best friends who may become lovers and I'm ready. So ready. Release date: May 11
  10. My Contrary Mary by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows: I loved the Lady Janies trilogy and now these authors are teaming up again to bring a trilogy about Marys. I know it's going to be amazing. Release date: June 22
