Synopsis:
Something strange is stalking the small town of Junction…
When junior Jess Gillmansen gets called out of class by Guidance, she can only presume it’s for one of two reasons. Either they’ve finally figured out who wrote the scathing anti-jock editorial in the school newspaper or they’re hosting yet another intervention for her about her mom. Although far from expecting it, she’s relieved to discover Guidance just wants her to show a new student around—but he comes with issues of his own including a police escort.
The newest member of Junction High, Pietr Rusakova has secrets to hide--secrets that will bring big trouble to the small town of Junction—secrets including dramatic changes he’s undergoing that will surely end his life early.
My Thoughts:
I don't want to scare people away by saying that this is similar to Twilight, but it's like the werewolf version sans vampires. I loved Twilight and typically werewolf books are not my thing. I've not really read many. I have been taking "notes" while reading books because I have read so many and often I don't read books that follow them in the series until later on - this one I read so quickly that I never took notes. I devoured it.
Delany did exceptionally well character and world building. I like the little twists and turns throughout the book and I am excited to read the others in the series.

Hey Girl! New follower here! I just sent you an email : ) LOVE that you're reading Janet Evanovich! Me too! I just finished six last night and I'm starting seven tonight! : )
Sounds right up my alley! I just bough the first books of the Witch & Wizard series - but these might have to be next!
I was anti twilight for ages and loved them, so maybe I'll have to check this out :)
Just found you through the Book Club! Great review and happy Friday,
Kara
Five stars, eh? I'm not super into vampires/werewolves but that high of a rating is hard to get! And nicely done "devouring" it. ;)
Writing reviews on my blog is the main way I keep track of books in a series. I love going back and seeing what I enjoyed (or didn't) when it's be a while since I read the last book. And while it doesn't tell me everything about the last book, my reviews do tend to include enough details to bring most everything back to me.
